God Hears

God hears the longings of our hearts
The spoken and unspoken parts
The Spirit intercedes, makes known
Even our feelings that are moans

God also hears the tears we cry
Our angry words, the sighs we sigh
The praises that we joyously sing
Our God is hearing everything 

God even hears the lies we tell
Our secret whisperings as well
Each promise made; broken ones too
The love expressed from inside you

The prayers we speak when in our beds
The thoughts we have inside our heads
God hears it all; is not surprised
By even things we try to hide

Despite all that he hears from you
His never-ending love holds true
For though he hears all that you say
Chooses to love you anyway 

So, talk to God; you know he hears
Share all your longings, all your fears
Confide in him what's in your heart
Even if yours is torn apart

For it's secure - safe in his hands
God listens, and he understands 
Speak honestly and be sincere
Trusting his love and that he hears

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
