And the days are growing hot
Do you take the latest novel
To your favorite reading spot

Eagerly anticipating
Destinations you will go
And meeting brand new characters 
You'll enjoy getting to know 

Are you a fan of mysteries 
Or are histories more your speed
Are romances what you most prefer
Or action thrillers what you read

What if I happen to tell you
'Bout a book that has it all
Super heroes who can save the day
Yet, they're not without some flaw

Also, ordinary characters 
Who go on to do great things 
Don't forget the evil villain
And the chaos that he brings

It's an action-packed adventure 
Taking place in ancient time
Also tells of future magic place
Best described as quite sublime

It's the kind of book that once it's read
It becomes a part of you
For it seems to touch your very soul
In a way no others do

And it's filled with things to ponder
Full of truths, deep and profound
Yet, for those who love a romance
Greatest love story around

For the leading man loves so intense
Sacrificially and true
Never guess who his love interest is
Well, dear reader, it is you!

Once you pick it up and start to read
You'll succumb to each plot twist
Have you figured out what book I mean?
It's on world's best seller's list

It's a book you've probably read before
Or at least it's one you've heard
It is known by several titles
The Good Book, Bible, The Word

Author is a master writer
Every word contains his voice 
For the greatest summer reading
Let the Bible be first choice

  Choose Joy Whenever there's a choice to make Let joy be path you choose to take When love and hate are on the scale Let love be one that does prevail When anger - patience doth compete And people we tend to mistreat It's said we sow in what we reap So, sow in patience- temper keep When circumstances bring you down And all you want to do is frown Choose happiness instead, my friend Then soon you'll see your sadness end I know it's easier said than done Often more battles devil's won But get back up and try some more  For after all, God's won the war Choose kindness 'stead of getting back Instead of shortness, practice tact With every godly choice you make The devil's grip begins to break With practice, then quite soon you'll see Good choices come more easily Thus, love and joy will conquer strife Becoming hallmark of your life
