240621 Nothing Is Wasted

 Nothing Is Wasted

In going through this life of mine
Some bitter pills I've tasted
But that won't turn me bitter
For with God, nothing is wasted

To be used mightily by God
My hand, I've surely raised it
Refined me first like silver
Purified, so nothing's wasted

The things and pleasures of this world
Too often, I have chased it
When God removes any of them
The lesson is not wasted

The love I've had within my life
In gold, I have encased it
Even if not returned to me
The love was never wasted

To call myself a child of God
Sometimes, I have disgraced it
No other name rather be called
God's forgiveness never wasted

Trip and fall down upon my knees
When shoe, I failed to lace it
While down there, take the time to pray
So position was not wasted

Much sin I have committed
But Christ Jesus has erased it
I'll praise and thank him endlessly
For his sacrifice's not wasted

The ugly truth about myself
Though difficult, I've faced it
Repented and received mercy
Hard truths are never wasted

My faith is often faltering
And sometimes I've misplaced it
But Abba is a faithful God
So faith in Him is not wasted

No matter where my journey leads
Both good and bad - embraced it
For in the hands of loving God
I know nothing is wasted
