Are you a member of this band
Because each day alone, you stand 
Is loneliness something you hide
Yet, find no one is by your side

It's strange how you'll be in a crowd
Yet, loneliness feels like a shroud 
It covers you from head to toe
And follows you where e're you go

Left wondering how this can be
While you're in someone's company 
Yet, still you feel you're all alone 
Like living in the twilight zone

Sometimes you're lonely 'cause you're bored
Sometimes, because you've been ignored
If bored, find something you can do
And someone who'll do it with you

Don't simply wait for folks to call
For, it's your one life after all
Though getting out there feels uphill
A lonely life's not in God's will 

If lonely 'cause you don't feel heard
You speak, yet no one says a word
You may be 'round many people
But feel you are invisible 

Dear child, know God sees and hears, too
And most sincerely values you
Love and companionship imparts
To even loneliest of hearts

He's with you every hour and day
And listens to each word you say
So pray to him and feel him near
He'll help loneliness disappear

God knows that humans need to be
With good friends and with family
Community's a vital need
Through prayer, the Lord will intercede

But, you must also do your part
If want to heal a lonely heart
Reach out to others and befriend
Then, find two lonely hearts did mend
