Lost and Found
Forgot what I was saying
When I lost my train of thought
Have sometimes lost my car keys
Hadn't found them where I ought
Have lost sense of direction
As I travel through strange town
Have found I can become confused
If don't know my way around
I'd like to say I've lost some weight
Found scale says that's not true
Lost track of time within the day
When I've found too much to do
Have lost myself in a good book
The kind that transports you
Have found a pleasant memory
Or great music do that, too
Have found I can get angry
And have lost my patience, too
Also, I've lost my temper
When I've found I've been lied to
I know I lost my child-like trust
When found I'd been betrayed
Lost all sense of security
Found myself shocked and dismayed
Lost courage and lost trust in God
When I've found so much to fear
Found I can lose my hopefulness
When devil's who I hear
Seems life's a giant lost and found
We lose things all the time
Can lose at love, can lose our hair
Can even lose our minds
Yet also, if we'll only seek
There's much that can be found
Our way, our peace, our happiness
We need only look around
And we've found we've a Good Shepherd
When we're feeling like lost sheep
Found God is always with us
When were lost in valleys deep
Of all the things I've ever found
Salvation's greatest one
Lose self in sweet surrender
To the Father, Spirit, Son
I've found that when I do that
I lose hopelessness and fear
Found peace, and joy, and love, and light
To share with those lost and dear
