 Special Person 

Do you have a special person 
One who's extra dear to you
Someone you love to be around 
And can tell your secrets to

Our pets choose their special person
Through some method they just know
Not a thing that we can orchestrate
They just pick you, and it's so

With people, it can be the same
An equal mystery
Something done without intention 
Call it chance or chemistry

Perhaps it doesn't matter how
It just matters that it is
To be special to somebody else
Is most joyous way to live

To know your very presence
Brings a light to someone's eyes
That you're adored and cherished
Is the highest of all highs

Though certainly not perfect
They will see the best in you
And overlook your flaws and gaffes
In spite of what you do

And you'll feel the exact same way
With special person you have found
Relish each special moment shared
A delight to have around 

Do you know you are that person
To your Father up above
And that when he looks upon you
He is filled with boundless love

To be that special person to
The Creator of all things
A truth too awesome to believe
Indescribable joy that brings

Not because of anything you've done
But because of who he is
Let that truth infuse within your soul
Special person - you are His!

  Choose Joy Whenever there's a choice to make Let joy be path you choose to take When love and hate are on the scale Let love be one that does prevail When anger - patience doth compete And people we tend to mistreat It's said we sow in what we reap So, sow in patience- temper keep When circumstances bring you down And all you want to do is frown Choose happiness instead, my friend Then soon you'll see your sadness end I know it's easier said than done Often more battles devil's won But get back up and try some more  For after all, God's won the war Choose kindness 'stead of getting back Instead of shortness, practice tact With every godly choice you make The devil's grip begins to break With practice, then quite soon you'll see Good choices come more easily Thus, love and joy will conquer strife Becoming hallmark of your life
