 Sit With Me

Good friend, do come and sit a spell
Please tell me, dear if all is well
So, how has life been treating you
Sit with me a moment or two

Sit over here right next to me
I so enjoy your company 
I want to hear what's on your mind
Come sit, if you would be so kind

Pull up a chair; come have a seat
Sit at my table and let's eat
For nothing has a warmer feel
Than when we sit and share a meal

Sit in my lap and hear a story
Of those before, and all their glory
Then snuggle close; head on my chest
Safe and secure, in peaceful rest

Sit with me as the world spins on
Though after dusk or before dawn
For I'm available any time
And I promise I'll never mind

So, come dear child, sit at my feet
And I will share secrets so sweet
Of how you are adored by me
For all time, through eternity 

And though I know you through and through 
Sit with me so you'll know me too
Don't scurry so; sit and be still
That's only way to know my will

So come here close and have a seat
Take a load off; prop up your feet
I'll ease your burdens when you do
For that is what I've promised you

Need only sit here by my side
For all anxieties to subside
Don't have to handle world alone
As long as I sit on the throne

  Choose Joy Whenever there's a choice to make Let joy be path you choose to take When love and hate are on the scale Let love be one that does prevail When anger - patience doth compete And people we tend to mistreat It's said we sow in what we reap So, sow in patience- temper keep When circumstances bring you down And all you want to do is frown Choose happiness instead, my friend Then soon you'll see your sadness end I know it's easier said than done Often more battles devil's won But get back up and try some more  For after all, God's won the war Choose kindness 'stead of getting back Instead of shortness, practice tact With every godly choice you make The devil's grip begins to break With practice, then quite soon you'll see Good choices come more easily Thus, love and joy will conquer strife Becoming hallmark of your life
