Fountain of Youth
Oh, isn't it so sad to see
Our search for immortality
I don't mean of the spiritual kind
But fount of youth we seek to find
Each wrinkle, how we try to hide
The creams and lotions we have tried
If teeth would just be pearly white
I know that life would be alright
Perhaps if bald spot wasn't there
Or did not have so much grey hair
Just maybe if my nose was small
Then I would think I had it all
So when can't face reality
Resort to plastic surgery
Remove crow's feet or plump up lips
Get liposuction on my hips
It's really not grey hairs we hide
But with ourselves, not satisfied
If I just get a tummy tuck
I know things will start looking up
For when you strive for perfect face
Your looks, not God, then take first place
You need not look like movie star
For Father loves you as you are
He cares not for chiseled physique
But only that it's him you seek
He doesn't ask, are wrinkles few
Instead, he sees the heart of you
Nor cares if you are grey or bald
You're His creation after all
For God won't see as the world does
He sees you through the eyes of love
When next in front of mirror, be
Let it reflect what God does see
The masterpiece that he did make
Made as designed; that's no mistake
True beauty isn't just skin deep
From lotions or from beauty sleep
It's how you act and what you do
And from a heart that's kind and true
Reflect God's love in how you think
Will seem like fount of youth did drink
With youthful glow you cannot hide
Because you'll shine from the inside
