 Enough

I really have had quite enough 
Of feeling that I'm not enough 
No matter what I say or do
It seems there is no pleasing you

That is the talk I say to me
Except it's from the enemy
For every time that's how I speak
It's devil's plot to make me weak

I bet he talks to you that way
And self-defeating words you say
"This is too hard." "Don't have what takes."
"Why do I keep making mistakes?"

Convincing you you're not enough 
But dear ones, you should call his bluff
For devil finds it such great sport
Reminding how you've fallen short

He loves to point it out to you
Shortcomings - you have quite a few
Then, your life's purpose, he'll handcuff
'Cause now you're sure you're not enough 

Stop all the lies he's put in head
And listen to God's truth instead
For when you see things Father's way
Uplifting words are what you'll say

" I am a child of risen Lord,"
"Not only loved, but I'm adored"
Have what it takes to do each task
When help's required, need only ask

For God's made you uniquely you
And gave you work just you can do
He's blessed you with most wondrous gifts 
To use in such a time as this

So, when you strive to do God's will
The gaps in you, the Lord will fill
He'll smooth out all your edges, rough
And show you how he's just enough

Dear Lord, I choose to hear just you
And devil's words, not listen to
Help me to see me as you see
From self-defeating words, be free
All negativity rebuff
And know that you're more than enough
