 New Day of Life

Thank you, dear God, I'm still alive
My time on earth's not through
By giving me new day of life
Means there's still work to do

Show me your perfect will for it
How would you have me live
I praise you for the gift of it
Gift only you can give

May I not squander it away
In frivolous pursuit 
But use it for your glory
Leading others to your truth

May all the choices that I make 
Be pleasing ones to you
So when I reach the end of it 
And earthly life is through

I will have made a difference 
For your kingdom while was here
So "good and faithful servant"
Are the words from You I'll hear

Until that final day has come
And my last breath is drawn
May I serve you Father faithfully
Cherish each new breaking dawn

So, thank you, Lord, with all my heart
For the rising of the sun
You've blessed me with new day of life
For Your Glory, live each one
