 God Sees

The God I love's a God who sees
My triumphs and my victories
Like a good Abba, he can't hide
My success as source of his great pride

Likewise, I know he also sees
My failures and my agonies
Each time that I have fallen short
Or his good plans attempt to thwart 

Hagar from the Old Testament 
Was in quite a predicament 
So, from her mistress, Sarah flees
Yet did not run from God who sees

To know he saw her brought great joy
So Hagar named her God, " El Roi"
" The God who sees me" sees you too
He sees all that you're going through 

Not only sees but cares about
Each joy, accomplishment, and doubt
Your insecurities and fears
Sees all your laughter, all your tears

And anything that's false in you
Make no mistake, God sees right through 
For he can see into your heart
And knows if you're playing a part

Likewise, if there's sincerity
That's also something God can see
Your shortcomings,  he'll not despise
For God sees all through loving eyes

Yes, God sees not as the world does
Instead, sees all through lens of love
So, he sees you as so much more
Beloved child, he does adore

So learn to see yourself same way
And those you see within your day
Like paradise, this world would be
If we could see as our God sees

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
