 Seize This Day

Oh, how the battle rages on
Beginning 'fore the break of dawn
Though feet aren't even on the floor
Already hear enemy's roar

This lion, though it's early hour
Already seeking to devour
God's perfect plan for you today
And so your calling to waylay

He'll whisper lies within your head
Before you've gotten out of bed
"Things are too hard," " you're not enough"
But you've the power to call his bluff

He might know what your weak points are
Yet, none of that will get him far
His arrows will miss where they aim
If you refuse to play his game

For prayer can redirect their aim
Sending them back from whence they came
So, take the devil by the horns
Embrace the faith that Satan scorns 

The lies the devil throws at you
Rebuke them instead with what's true
That even if today is rough
With God you are more than enough

Hey, Satan there's nowhere to hide
I'm fighting with God at my side
So, I have no cause for alarm
All weapons, the Word can disarm

The Bible says, resist, you'll flee
And that God's power's inside of me
Because of that I have no fear
Go on, Satan, get out of here 

With God, I have all that I need
Thus, devil, you will not succeed 
Yes, victory loudly proclaim
I seize this day in Jesus' name

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
