250513 God Cares Not

 God Cares Not

God cares not how you look, what you've read in a book
Or the kind of clothes worn on your back
He cares not who you know, the fine places you go
Or if athletic talent you lack

God cares not if you've found that you've put on some pounds
Nor if hair has been thinning or gray
Not if house is unclean, the rock stars you have seen
Or the trophies, awards you display

What does God care about? I can say without doubt
It's not what's parked inside your garage
Or the money you bank, social status you rank
All of those things are simply marage

On the spiritual front, forgive if I am blunt
But he cares not a flip what you preach
It's much more what you do than the things you speak to
For your actions are how that you teach

God cares not if one knows how big mustard seed grows
He just cares if you have faith at all
Doesn't matter to Him if you've memorized hymns
He just wants you to come when He calls

No requirement of His you know who Titus is
Or how many books Torah contains
Though it's fine if you do, He won't ask it of you
Cares much more for our hearts than our brains

For when your heart's for Him any song becomes hymn
That you sing with true worship and praise
And the way that you live will show others you're His
How the face of your Savior displays

So, let's care for God things and His glory that brings
Things like kindness and honor and love
Put earth's values aside and in Jesus abide
And be cared for by Father above
