Help Me See

Help me see not where I failed
But where I persevered 
Not only see when I am scared
But how I conquered fear

Help me see when someone's in need
And how I can assist
Help me see all the things I have
And not just what I've missed

Help me see what true evil is
Then teach me how to fight
A thing that I should surely see
If I know wrong from right 

Help me see my own weaknesses
As ways you make me strong
Help me to see self-pity
As a place I don't belong

Help me see that delays in life
Are how my patience grows
Help me see little joys abound
And not see only woes

Help me see all that's beautiful
That your grace does provide 
For sometimes fail to see it
Though it's not a thing you hide

Help me to see each one I meet 
Exactly as you do
All worthy of salvation 
And deserving of love, too

Help me to see what lies ahead
As a place I want to go
For, though can't see the future
It's good place that you, Lord know

Help me to see the trials in life
As how my faith will grow
That you will bring me through each one
And I can trust that's so

Help me to see that what is true
Can be found in the Good Book
For, Bible is true word of God
All I need do is look

Help me to see eternity 
Is found in Savior's face
And my belief in him alone
Will bring me to that place

And final thing I pray for, Lord
Before my prayer is through
Help me to see all those I love
In paradise with you

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law

The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
