 God Can

Most that's ahead is not foretold

I can't see what my future holds

Yet, God can!

Too weak to go to any length

So often, I don't have the strength 

But God does!

Not sure what's right or what is wrong 

Uncertain what is going on

My God is!

Others aren't always trustworthy 

Some people just can't be believed

But, God can!

At times, don't really know a thing

No wisdom to the table bring

My God does!

Injustices are all around 

When I want fairness to abound

Yet, God is!

It seems I'm needed everywhere 

But I can't be both here and there

My God can!

Sometimes I feel forlorn and down

Like no one cares if I'm around 

But God does!

Too often seems I fall behind

Try as I might, I'm not on time

Yet, God is!

Some moments feel lost as can be

Where no one ever could find me

Oh, God can!

My sinful nature's haunting me

No one could view me lovingly

Yet, God does!

When storm rages inside of me

Nothing calms my anxiety

But, God can!

Too often self is whom I serve

Forgiveness - not what I deserve

Still, God does!

Don't need to just rely on you

To do things only God can do

He has no gaps that you must fill

Just trust him and obey his will

He'll give you peace, for that's his plan

The kind that only our God can!

I can do all things through him who strengthens me

Casting all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
