230104 Tell Them

 Tell Them

Tell them that you love them

Don't delay it; don't be slow

Tell them that you love them

Just in case they might not know

Tell them that you love them

For you really know you do

Tell them that you love them

So that they will know it, too

Don't assume that they may know it

Just because it once was said

Or because you say you think it

Somewhere, there up in your head

Or believe that they should know it

Through some action or some deed

Thinking really that should be enough

And that is all they need

For the words are so important

Should be spoken right out loud

For in voice, they carry power

Not just hidden behind shroud

You may find that when you say them

Echoes come right back, it's true

For, you also need to hear them

From someone who's dear to you

Oh, those words, they sound like music

Joyful melody to the ear

Sweet honey tasted on the tongue

Something so lovely to hear

For, to hear "dear, how I love you!"

The most beautiful of phrase

It lifts our hearts and spirits

And so brightens up our days

For it's Abba's greatest blessing

To love others and be loved

It's what Father God created

And indeed what he's made of

For he showed us its true meaning

With a baby's manger birth

And it's only through a Savior

We can know of its great worth

So, tell them that you love them

Say it often, every day

And know God loves you also

Every moment, every way

Yes, tell them that you love them

Through a whisper or a shout

It will be the greatest words you speak

Of that, there is no doubt

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him shall not parish but have everlasting life
