 Kindness


Don't pass up opportunity 
To compliment; for they are free
Don't fail to utter a sweet word
For many, it's too seldom heard

All whom you meet need kindness done
Make it your goal to be that one
For truly, it does not take time
To be patient, loving, and kind

Don't think about it once or twice 
Just make a habit to be nice
Most folks will go the extra mile
If they are greeted with a smile

This world, the love of Jesus, lacks
So people commit senseless acts
Perhaps would not behave so mean
If they felt worthy and felt seen

We all need to hear that we matter
Thing hard to hear over world's clatter
But, it's a thing each one can know
If seeds of Christ-like love we sow

Treat others as you wish to be
For you are in God's family 
To be a light upon a hill
Is how we live out the Lord's will

For heaven knows the world needs more
Of loving kindness,  that's for sure 
Let's fill the earth with love's refrain
Until Christ Jesus comes again

12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
