240705 Middle of Nowhere

 Middle of Nowhere

Have you ever been in the middle of nowhere
And wondered how you even got there
For it certainly wasn't your destination
How'd you ever get into this situation

Or perhaps you'd gone intentionally
On a way to another place to be
You're just passing through this empty place
Better check directions, just in case

We've all been nowhere in life, I bet
Be grateful if you haven't yet
But grateful, too, when you are there
A place of lessons God will share

For middle of nowhere, Jesus was led
To prepare him for what lay ahead
A desolate place where it all began
To strengthen him to fulfill God's plan

Though middle of nowhere, you may be
It could be leading to your destiny
For when nothingness you're going through
You learn not to rely on you

As you look around with nothing to see
It feels lifeless, barren, and empty
But if you take a closer gaze
You'll find things worthwhile to this place

For when nowhere, then that causes reflection
And should lead yoy then to seek direction
Which I know is hard for any man
Yet, it humbles you like nothing can

Then it slows you down to reassess
How you possibly reached this barrenness
So, in nothingness, you finally hear
God's quiet voice speak crystal clear

And you learn no matter where you roam
That the Lord will always bring you home
And even hard lessons can be embraced
Thus, middle of nowhere's a sacred place
