 Talk to Me

Talk to me, Lord all through the day
To your voice, my attention pay
Lead me to a still, quiet place
Where I am calm and thoughts don't race

Talk to me, Lord, within my heart 
As your great wisdom, you impart
Speak to me words so crystal clear
I'll know that it's your voice I hear

Let your Spirit reach to my soul
To know you better, my only goal
And when you talk, let me be still
So I am certain of your will

Lord, help me to not blather on
My prayers don't have to be quite long
For you already know my heart 
And all my words before I start

So, more than just talking to you
I must learn how to listen too
Thus, since your voice is still and small
If don't stop talking, miss it all

So, yes, dear Father, talk to me
I'll wait your answers patiently
In spite of times nothing I hear
I know you've heard me and you're near

Lord, speak to me and I'll listen 
And every day we'll talk again
Till my soul's filled up to the hilt
For that's how relationship is built

Then, oh what joy when life is through 
And I stand face to face with you
For heaven's where my home will be
Spoke this truth when you talked to me

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time?
