 Sin As Sin

In this fallen world, there is sin everywhere
There is evil, vulgarity, hatred to spare
But what if the world doesn't see sin as sin
How can that be fixed; where to even begin 

So, to handle a problem must first know that it's one
For if not, you've lost battle before it's begun
See, deception's the tool of the Father of lies
You won't see sin as sin if it wears a disguise 

So, since he rules this world, if you see as world sees
You'll be lulled into sin when you do as you please
For the world masks it's sins in a number of ways
Making bad things seem good is what devil portrays

It can mask greed as getting just what you are due
Or convince you to hate for what's been done to you
To spread gossip or curse because everyone does
Be dishonest, or jealous, or mean just because 

Putting self first; just looking out for number one
Or that lust is okay; it's just how this world's run
People minimize sin - it's not really that bad
Or make it seem cool - society's latest fad

So, to fight sin, you must see it for what it is
Hit it straight at the source; fight it right where it lives
Resisting the devil and all of his lies
Only then will he flee, when we've opened our eyes

Don't believe as the world does, instead believe Word
For the Bible is where the voice of God is heard
It will drown out the noise that the world loudly makes
Then you'll combat the lies with whatever it takes

So have God search your heart and reveal any sin
Only then can the work of repentance begin 
Once confession's been made, pray for strength to resist
Gradually you will find that past sins won't be missed

Been replaced with the joy that obedience brings
True fulfillment of following King of all Kings
Soon the ways of this world simply fade out of view
'Cause of pure heart and mind God's created in you

As believers, we're not of this world, it is true
Temporarily in it but just passing through 
So, while we're on this journey let's see sin as sin
With the help of God's armies, let battle begin

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time?
