230911 My Savior Part 2

My Savior Part 2

My Savior's a physician,

A teacher, servant, Jew

My Savior is my confidant

God, yet Son of God, too

My Savior came as Jewish man

Part of God's chosen race

As a child, was raised in Jewish faith

The Torah did embrace

First, ministered to Israelites

Fulfilling prophecy

Offered salvation to gentiles, too

Savior to you and me

My Savior's great physician

For he made each piece of me

Able to heal in miraculous ways

Yes, he's a divine M.D.

He knew me before I was born

Wove together all my parts

Can heal whatever ails me

Even repair broken hearts

My Savior's master teacher

Heaven's his university

Yet, he doesn't charge tuition

All his lessons taught for free

He teaches with authority

He knows of what he speaks

Has wisdom of the universe

My Savior, willing pupils seeks

My Savior is a servant

Came to serve, not to be served

As King of Kings and Lord of Lords

To be served is what he deserved

By setting the example

We were taught how we should be

To see others with compassion

Show them love, aid, and mercy

My Savior is my confidant

I talk to him each day

He knows my secrets and desires

For he hears each word I say

I know my thoughts are safe with him

For he is my best friend

So I faithfully put my trust in him

On my Savior, I depend

My Savior is the Son of God

He's God but also man

For God to take on human form

Seems hard to understand

But that's exactly what he did

To save me from my sins

Willing to pay my penalty

That's the kind of God he is

How I adore my Savior

For the wonder that he is

And what joy that he adores me, too

Praise Him for my Savior lives!

Colossians 2:9

For in him, the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily

John 10:30

I and the Father are one

Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man came not to serve but to be served...

Matthew 23:10, 9:35

Psalm 147:3
