230914 Look Around

Look Around

My God is everywhere I look

In every cranny, every nook

I simply must have eyes to see

What's always been in front of me

Just merely have to look around

To see I stand on holy ground

Each flower petal, bluebird wing

Creator's hand in everything

.

With opened eyes, I clearly see

Evidence of Father's majesty

Intricate wings of dragonflies

God's miracle before my eyes

Each rugged mountain, sandy shore

The mysteries of the ocean floor

The vastness of the galaxies

Or changing of the autumn leaves

Not just in nature,  but human kind

The fingerprints of the divine

Dexterity within my hand

To do all work that God has planned

The wonder of the human eye

To see, to sparkle, and to cry

Conveys emotions so clearly

Miraculous in complexity

The heart that beats within my chest

So strong, it never stops to rest

While I'm asleep or wide awake

Although fragile enough to break

My lungs, that fill my chest up, too

Each inhale, exhale - gift from You

And infant cries with its first breath

We cry when last one signals death

But every one breathed in between

Is numbered by a God unseen

Though I can't see him, I have found

He's everywhere I look around

So look around and see Him too

For He is clearly in plain view

Divine creator of all you see

Each imprinted with His majesty

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning,  God created the heavens and the earth

John 1:3

All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made

Romans 1:20

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse

Revelation 4:11

1 Corinthians 8:6

Nehemiah 9:6
