231212 In the Silence

In the Silence

What to do when God is silent

What to do when he seems far

What to do when we can't hear him

Feels everywhere, but where we are

We come to him on bended knee

Our cry for help, a fervent plea

But doesn't answer our desperate call

Does he love us or care at all

We're at a crossroads; we have a choice

To wait to hear that small, still voice

Or stumble forward, our way to go

Instead of waiting for "yes" or "no"

For patience seems a bitter pill

But the Word tells us to be still

In stillness only can we hear

And know for sure God's always near

Our Savior modeled the way that's best

To pray with earnest, then let it rest

For when we trust and do our part

That's when God's voice will reach our heart

Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God...

Psalm 5:3

O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch

1 John 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us
