Wherever I Go

Wherever I go
Whatever I do
The Lord, my dear Savior 
Is going there, too

When I feel uncertain 
When I start to stray
I know without doubt 
That my God knows the way

When I come to the fork
Should I go right or left
A quick prayer's all I need
To be sure which is best

For it's when I forget
Who is life's truest guide
That my steps are unclear
And my feet slip and slide

Then anxiety grows
As I search solid ground
Momentarily forgetting
It's his Word where it's found

Then my angst becomes calm
And I no longer fear
Just hand over the wheel
And let my Shepherd steer

And even when taken
A way I don't know
There's joy in the journey
When I choose to let go

For with Jesus as driver
Safe arrival's assured 
And the travel's adventure 
Scenic wonders explored

So embrace ups and downs
All the trips turns and twists
It's all part of God's road map
Not just things to be missed

For the downs help you value 
The ups you go through 
And the turns often lead
To things better for you

So, the calm that we feel
When we take the back seat
And give God full control
Is true peace most complete

So, wherever I go
And whatever I do
I'll take Jesus along
Won't you come along, too?

  Choose Joy Whenever there's a choice to make Let joy be path you choose to take When love and hate are on the scale Let love be one that does prevail When anger - patience doth compete And people we tend to mistreat It's said we sow in what we reap So, sow in patience- temper keep When circumstances bring you down And all you want to do is frown Choose happiness instead, my friend Then soon you'll see your sadness end I know it's easier said than done Often more battles devil's won But get back up and try some more  For after all, God's won the war Choose kindness 'stead of getting back Instead of shortness, practice tact With every godly choice you make The devil's grip begins to break With practice, then quite soon you'll see Good choices come more easily Thus, love and joy will conquer strife Becoming hallmark of your life
