 The Battle

Word says the battle is not mine
But I still fight one all the time
Yet, fight with hands behind my back
Because unwavering faith I lack

The devil battles in my mind
So, to God's truths, I become blind
Forgetting fights I've won before 
When next one's knocking at my door

Goliaths stand in front of me
My bigger God, I fail to see
View obstacles as giant sized
Because I see through earthly eyes

While seems Satan can't be deterred 
In Christ, my victory's assured 
The battle over sin was won
When on cross, Christ said, " It is done."

So, when to heaven, eyes are drawn
Then I can face conflict head-on
In spite of anything I lack
Know angel armies have my back

So, yes, the battle is not mine
Thus, til I cross life's finish line
Each fight that Satan brings to me
I know will be won ultimately 

So, fellow soldiers, hold on fast
The battle won't forever last
Place all your troubles at Christ's feet
Knowing Satan ends in defeat

Can rest assured, from this point, hence 
That we can live with confidence 
And though battles be hard or long
Through Christ, we'll sing a victory song

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time?
