 Live in Victory


Christ Jesus gave us victory
O're Satan, death and even sin
Does that feel like reality
Of way we go about living

Or do we live as in defeat
Down trodden, downcast, down and out
Instead of tasting victory, sweet
Do we taste bitterness and doubt

When Satan's flaming arrows fly
Do we hold up the shield of God
Or if attacks intensify
Just simply give defeat the nod

Unless we don God's full armor
We'll fail to live in victory 
For with the devil, we're at war
If we rebuke him, he will flee

O're each foe Christ's victorious 
Which means that we have victory, too
That reality is glorious 
When Jesus lives inside of you

To win the fight, we must remember 
Though it seems like a paradox
Victory comes with total surrender 
Let Jesus in when e're he knocks

Yes, let him in; open the door
That's just how victory begins
Then total triumph is assured 
Satan's defeated; Jesus wins!

Live as the victor that you are
Without stress, angst, or deep worry
No matter what you've faced so far
Life can be lived in victory

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
