250222 You Still...

 You Still...

Though Lord, I grumble and complain
You still send manna down like rain
Taking care of my earthly need
Mere sustenance, you far exceed

And though your laws I disobey
You still are merciful each day
Slow to anger; patiently
Your guidance always teaches me

Though different faces I display
You still are the same every day
A steadfast love that never ends
A love on which my life depends

In spite of living selfishly
You still say that you adore me
You've looked upon me, and you've smiled
For you call me your precious child

Can be unloving in my ways
Yet, you still love me anyway
A love so deep, and high, and wide
Pure love that cannot be denied

Though sins can come with highest stakes
You still forgive me my mistakes
I come to you as a disgrace
Yet, you provide mercy and grace

Though, from your presence, run away
You still pursue me every day
Retrieving me when I am lost
While your Son paid the total cost

At times when your voice I don't hear
You still whisper into my ear
Your Spirit speaking to my heart
Your wisdom, guidance to impart

Although this world Satan may own
You still are sitting on the throne
For now, judgement has been deferred
You still shall have the final word

You still are my Lord and my King
You still reign over everything
You still are author of world's story
You still deserve all praise and glory
