 Who Can I Bless

Receiving blessing's an awesome thing

For many blessings, God does bring

To all his children, every one

From rising to the setting sun

Today, my prayers are not for me

Instead, how can a blessing be

To others who have come my way

And truly need a blessed day 

I've heard it said, and I believe 

It's better to give than receive

For when I have been blessing you

I find that it has blessed me too

Today another's need I'll seek 

And not only a blessing speak

But bless them with my actions, too

For that's just what Jesus would do

Not merely speak, "Have blessed day"

Then, just continue on my way

But also an investment make

Of time, for someone else's sake

To truly serve as Savior did

Is how a Christian's called to live

To others' needs, open my eyes

So be a blessing in their lives

Dear Father, who resides above

Show me today whom I should love

Place someone's need upon my heart

And guide me so I do my part

Let my hands reach to render aid

May Jesus's love thus be displayed

For with my acts of selflessness 

Both they and I are richly blessed
