 Love Lavishly 

The world appears in misery
Solution - to love lavishly 
To not hold back, but give your all
Is only way that hate will fall

From sin's grip, we are truly free
Because God first loved lavishly 
Enough so, that he sent his Son
So victory o're death was won

Thus, in turn, let us do the same
In how we act, not just in name
For loving's how we're called to be
Not subtly but lavishly 

This fallen world's become a mess
So, it requires nothing less
If we're to conquer hate and sin
Then everyone must be all in

For hate is loving's enemy
They can't both live in harmony
Each day you have a choice to make
Choose loving one, for goodness sake

Love others like there's no tomorrow 
For though it can't cure all world's sorrow
Love makes the sorrows bearable
Way empty hearts can then be full

Don't sit it out; get out the door
And find someone, then love them more 
And you will find that when you do
The love you give comes back to you

Dear Lord, you love us lavishly 
Though we don't act deservedly
All by your grace and great mercy
To love's all you know how to be
So teach us to be loving, too
In all we say and all we do
Through us, your holy face world sees
Because we have loved lavishly

How Did I Get Here? How did I get here? I don't know Seemed sometimes fast, other times slow Though, does not matter what the pace Still wonder how came to this place How did I reach this point in time? Reality of it's so sublime For most of journey was uphill Through hard fought land, yet, I'm here still How did I get from there to here? In baby steps year after year?
