  A Compliment  I sure could use a compliment  For all my energy is spent On doing things nobody sees Out of duty or just to please  If I could hear a word of thanks Would do a lot to fill my tanks For, to be honest, I won't lie There are days my reserves run dry Someone to notice what I do Would surely help me muddle through Another day of endless tasks Is that really too much to ask Even a single word of praise Could lighten up the heavy days To know that what I do is seen By even just one human being Taken for granted, sometimes feel When all I do seems no big deal To people that I do it for  Yet, never want to just keep score For what I do I do for love And God observes from up above Thus, what I do for least of these I know that my good Father sees Even without encouragement  My heart says it is time well spent For I am working for the Lord And that alone is just reward To serve God of eternity  Such privileged opportunity  So, no compliment ...
